March 19, 2005 - Right Wing

Most RV building time this week was spent riveting the top skins to the right wing.  Lynnette bucked the inboard skin for me, and then Friday night, Bruce was over and we riveted the outboard skin.  He shot the gun and I bucked.  All rivets came out great.

Here I am Saturday morning squeezing the top skin to the rear spar.  It's easy riveting, except for the 15 or so inboard-most rivets.  On those, there is the rear spar reinforcer to contend with.  More on that later.

The right wing, sans clecos (well, almost).
The right wing has flown!  Off the jig, that is.
There it is, in the stand.
