April 26, 2004 - Rudder |

The Rudder top rib gets very narrow at the trailing edge. So narrow that you can't get the squeezer in there to dimple. So I used the hint from RVator which worked pretty well. I bought the rectangular piece of steel below from a local steel shop for $1.75, countersunk it, and clamped it to the workbench. The rib slips over it, then I hammer the male dimple die into it. |

This is the bottom of the Rudder with the extension strip
clecoed to it. These strips are used to attach the Rudder bottom tip.
