April 26, 2004 - Rudder

The Rudder top rib gets very narrow at the trailing edge. So narrow that you can't get the squeezer in there to dimple. So I used the hint from RVator which worked pretty well. I bought the rectangular piece of steel below from a local steel shop for $1.75, countersunk it, and clamped it to the workbench. The rib slips over it, then I hammer the male dimple die into it.

This is the bottom of the Rudder with the extension strip clecoed to it. These strips are used to attach the Rudder bottom tip.
