April 27, 2004 - Riveting the Rudder

Here I am riveting the Rudder skin to the spar and ribs with the "Main Squeeze" tool. I was banned from the basement by my kids on this Friday night; I'm upstairs on the kitchen table.
It's hard to see in this picture, but I put a slight bend in the top leading edge with the edge-roller tool. The slight bend is supposed to help the overlapping leading edge lay tight when I curl the leading edges together. The tool worked well; no problems.
This is a shot of the inside of the control horn strut. I was somehow able to get the hand-squeezer in there and do mostly rivets instead of pop-rivets.
