September 17, 2007 - Riveting front end |
||||||
Front view after riveting. I'm glad to have finally riveted the ribs and subpanels together. I must have clecoed them together a million times.
Whoops, forgot about the center
rib. I had also forgot to dimple the firewall for it. I
quickly did dimpled and riveted the center rib to the firewall and
center
subpanel.
|
||||||
I put in the wear-blocks and spacers
for the canopy
hooks.

I had cut a rectangular hole in the right subpanel for the intercom wiring harness. But then I decided to go with a 5/8" hole. So I made a little rectangular plate to cover up the sub-panel and riveted it on with flush 3/32 rivets.
Just have to put nutplates on the panel side brackets and we're ready to mount the panel permanently.
