Double-checking the drawings, I realized that there are spacers that go
underneath the aft deck. The spacers have to be fashioned according
to the drawings. Nowhere in the instructions are the spacers
mentioned. I've gradually come to understand that at this point in
the project, the instructions are just a general guideline. The
builder had better get extremely familiar with the applicable drawings
before cutting, drilling or riveting anything. And review other
builder's sites. Here I've cut the two spacers I'll need from stock according to the drawings. |

You can't see the spacers, but I duct-taped them to the bulkheads, and
match-drilled them, using the aft deck as a template.
