February 4, 2006 - Devinyling and Bellcranks |
I'm waiting on Bruce to get back from a skiing trip to finish up the fuselage riveting. So I broke out the soldering iron and did some serious de-vinyling of the forward top skin, seat, baggage and baggage bulkhead covers. I also edge-smoothed them. While I was doing it, I watched and listened to the Super Bowl hype shows on ESPN2. Go ahead, ask me about any of the previous 39 Superbowls.
I prepped the bellcrank parts and some aft fuselage gussets for priming.

The Prime-meister. The Minister of Prime. Prime man. Have Mar-Hyde, Will Travel.
The Bellcrank clecoed together. Bring on the rivet squeezer.
And it is done! I wish all of my rivets came out this well.
I couldn't resist test fitting the bellcrank into the fuselage.
