February 6, 2006 - Flipped the Canoe! |
||||||
Tonight is the night. Bruce came over and we finished up the riveting.
We took a few minutes to admire out work. It's nice seeing the
fuselage not look like a porcupine. Lynnette came down and took
the tail. Bruce and I took each side of the firewall. And ..
we ... flipped ... the ... canoe!
|
||||||
It is done. This historic shot was taken just moments after "the flip".
It's photo-op time. The fuselage sure looks different sitting
right side up.
|
||||||
Lynnette wanted to know where the door was. She was skeptical that you could "just step into it".
Looking aft. | ||||||
The forward compartment.
Right now, the fuse is sitting on the sawhorses and is way too high to work on. I'm going to have to figure out how I'm going to support it so that it's much lower to the ground. Just another challenge, in a seemingly endless series of challenges. |
