August 25, 2006 - Prepping the Cabin Frame

I disassembled the cabin frame and deburred all the holes.  The aft channels needed edge-smoothing so I did that.  I also had to trim the ends of the two strips.
Whoops.  Forgot to countersink the center strap holes on the forward channels.  Don't have to countersink the aft Channel; it gets universal rivets for some reason.
I drilled the angle to the aft channels, using them as a template.
I clecoed the cabin frame back together and measured the horizontal and vertical widths.  The horizontal width was slightly less than what it should be but I think it's close enough.  I had chopped 3/16" off each channel middle.  The vertical width is also just a bit short, but not enough to be a problem.  I had not trimmed the channel bottoms.
