Next step on the agenda was to build the F-704 bulkhead. First task
was to enlarge holes in what is really the main spar. The holes are
for electrical wires to run.
These bulkheads are the main components of the center spar. The left and right wing spars will bolt to this. It is the main load carrying structure of the airplane. |

There was a starter hole which I needed to open to 5/8.
Fortunately my new Unibit had arrived in the mail from Cleaveland Tools.
Cleaveland has great service. I order stuff via their web page, and it
magically shows up at my front door in about 3 days! I used the
new unibit to get the hole to about 3/8, then I used my old, bigger unit
bit to get it to 5/8. Piece of cake. Then I just slipped the
black snap-bushing in.
