October 14, 2005 - Center Fuselage

I had to fashion these attach straps.  At this point, I'm not sure what they are for.  But the instructions said to make them so I did.  The good news was that they are made out of thing -- .032 -- aluminum so I could just cut them from stock with the shears.  .
The next step was to drill the F-623 corner ribs to the skin.  First I had to seam the flanges to 90 degrees, then flute slightly to make straight.
Like the side ribs, these corner ribs were also not pre-drilled.  I just aligned the flanges with the side of the skin and drilled-clecoed away.
