November 3, 2006 - Forward Canopy Frame |
With the two AN-3 bolts through the blocks and spacer, I put the canopy release bolt-pin through for the first time.
A look from the other side.
I tried putting the canopy frame gooseneck into the block gap for the first time. I'm just trail-fitting things together at this point, trying to understand how it is supposed to go together. I just can't get it by looking at the drawings. I have to see the real-thing go together before I can understand it.
I spent a couple of hours edge-smoothing the canopy frame.
I clecoed the canopy skin to the canopy frame through the pre-drilled holes.
I marked a black line down the
center of the canopy frame trailing-edge tube, which I'd be able to see
through the skin holes.
I drilled the first trailing-edge holes in the center by myself with no problem, but released I needed help to drill the rest. Until next time. |
