October 27, 2006 - Canopy Latch Mechanism

With the slots done, I turned to the latch itself.  I filed and edge-smoothed the smaller latch piece.  I clamped the large latch to the bottom angle, and match-drilled the bolt hole, using the latch as a template.
Looking from the outside in.  I clamped the smaller, forward latch into place on the bottom angle and match-drilled the bolt-hole for it.  Then I clamped the lower and upper angles together and match-drilled the two bolt-holes.
Using the Unitbit and Dremel tool, I cut the half-circles into the angle.
There, the latch mechanism is all done.  You'll see how this works later.  It's not intuitive.
