December 16, 2007 - Wiring Light switches |
||||||
I still had to hook up the switches for the lights: navigation, strobe, landing and taxi. I could hardly figure out what had to be done because of the rat's nest behind the panel. Clearly, I had to reorganize the wiring behind the panel.
I ended up addressing each switch
individually. I made sure all the wires to the switch were the same
length, making new wires if I had to, and then tie-wrapping the switch
bunches together. When I had done that to all the switches, I put
them back on the panel and tie-wrapped all the switch bundles
together.

The AeroConnection had diagrams showing how to wire up the Nav/Strobe and Taxi Light/Landing Light switches.
Wiring creates quite a mess.
