March 30, 2005 - Citabria Flight |

Even though technically it is Spring, the weather this month has been
terrible: cold, rainy and windy. But today, it actually seemed
like spring: warm and sunny. I took off work a little early
and went flying. Just my usual flight, head due east across the
Chesapeake Bay and over the Eastern Shore. As you can see from the
pictures, things are starting to get green. The brown, black and
sometimes white -- snow -- was getting a little old. Check out this mansion on the east side of the Chester River. Sweet. Look at all the empty surrounding land. |
||||||
After flying up the Chester River, I came across a Challenger ultralight.
He landed at this little strip. Then he took off and we flew in
loose formation for awhile.
|
||||||
Later on I came across two powered parachutes buzzing along.

A nice shot of Miller's Island. Even though it looks more like a peninsula...
A close-up of Millers Island. This would be a cool place to live (except during floods). I could take a little boat across the Back river and be at Essex Skypark in five minutes.
