August 27, 2008 - Canopy Fairing

Once the epoxy was dry, I sanded it and started applying epoxy/micro balloons to the seams between glass and electricial tape and glass and skin. I can tell it's going to take a lot of fill - sand iterations to get the fairing nice and smooth.

I brushed on a coat of epoxy -- no micro balloons. The epoxy covered the fiberglass cloth well enough, but it "ran" onto the aluminum skin. I had to use an X-acto knife to get it off.
