August 26, 2008 - Finish Glassing, Oil Filler Door |

The epoxied fiberglass strips were nice and dry from the day before. They looked pretty good. I laid down the last two strips. The wider strips are definately harder to work with. Very messy. I wear thin rubber gloves and it's a good thing. The gloves were covered with epoxy by the time I was gone. Next step is to do some sanding, then apply three coats of epoxy. Then lots more sanding and filling. |

I did some sanding and trimming of my grafted tabs, then drilled center holes for the Camloc recepticles. |

Using the cowl holes as a drilling template, I match-drilled the door holes.
Using the Camloc drilling template, I drilled the recepticle mounting holes. Then using a second drilling template, I used a Unibit to drill the 11/16" center holes.
