May 23, 2007 - Engine Mount Drilled

I had previously drilled  the upper right hand corner.  I bolted and mount on, using duct tape to hold the left side up.  Then I drilled the upper left hand corner.  I was worried about the drilling because the first hole had been such a bear.  But using the engine mount as a drill guide made a huge difference.  I drilled using my 11/32 bit.  I followed that up with the 3/8" reamer.

I liked using reamers for the large holes -- 1/4, 5/16 and 3/8 -- because I think they make a tighter, rounder hole that a regular bit does.

I bolted the upper left corner, then drilled the two bottom center holes.
I finished up by drilling the bottom corner holes.  I was pleased with how the engine mount holes came out.  All the holes are positioned perfectly and the bolts fit snugly.
