| North of Chicago, I saw on the sectional I was passing by Naval Station Great Lakes, which is home of the United States Navy's only current boot camp. I had never really noticed it before. |

Approaching my fuel-stop destination, one of my favorite cross-country stops -- Port Bucyrus Airport (17G). The airport manager and staff are very friendly, fuel prices are good, and they have a courtesy car.
