November 29, 2007 - Cabin Heat Control Cable

System O the Day was the Cabin Heat control cable.  After a bunch of head-scratching and surfing Vans Air Force forums, I got it installed.  That black circular thing is the control cable knob.  Pretty simple.  Pull it to open the heat valve.  Push it back in to close the heat valve.

Looking down from the top of the firewall, you can see the heat valve arm with the control wire bolted to it.

A good look at the control cable running horizontally right to left.  It's secured to the firewall through a hole in one of the angles and also an Adel clamp close to the heat valve itself.

The thing works pretty well.  Another system in the bag.
