November 29, 2007 - Cabin Heat Control Cable |
||||||
System O the Day was the Cabin Heat control cable. After a bunch of head-scratching and surfing Vans Air Force forums, I got it installed. That black circular thing is the control cable knob. Pretty simple. Pull it to open the heat valve. Push it back in to close the heat valve. | ||||||
Looking down from the top of the
firewall, you can see the heat valve arm with the control wire bolted to
it.

A good look at the control cable
running horizontally right to left. It's secured to the firewall
through a hole in one of the angles and also an Adel clamp close to the
heat valve
itself.
The thing works pretty well.
Another system in the
bag.
