November 11, 2007 - Strobe Power Supply Wires

I'm pretty proud of this picture.  These are the wires going into the strobe power supply.  The three gray wire bundles go out to the wings and tail and are shielded.  I had to tie off the three shield grounds to the main ground that goes to the ground bus on the firewall.  Bob Nuckoll's article on shield termination at the AeroElectric.Com site showed me how to do it.  It required a little soldering.  I missed my chance to put on some large heat-shrink when I attached the Molex connectors so I had to use electrical tape.  No biggee.

Screw the power supply to the bracket and it's done.

I tidied the wire bundles up with tie-wraps.

Tidied up the wires running to the tail:  strobe light, nav light, elevator trim.
