January 8, 2005 - Left Wing
I riveted the aileron brackets together using the hand squeezer and the vise.  Then I riveted the aileron brackets to the rear spar.  I didn't see how I could use the hand squeezer so on the inboard bracket I used the rivet gun with the double angle piece.  I wasn't on my game this day; they came out OK but won’t do me any good in the Oshkosh Grand Master competition.

On the outboard bracket, I figured a way to use the hand squeezer for most of the rivets.  On the end rib rivets, I had to use the gun but was able to use the straight piece and was pleased with the rivet quality.  The double angle piece has always caused me trouble and I dislike using it.  But sometimes that's the only thing you can do.
