With the reinforcers done, the next step was to drill drain holes in the vertical webs. The plans recommended grinding a drill bit as shown, but I went to the hardware store and they sold the bit as is. This type of drill bit minimizes the splintering when drilling plywood. I had a wood block underneath the material and that helped too. |

Each compartment had a hole in the lower area. This is so that any moisture that builds up has a way to get out. | ||||||

All six ladders can be seen in this photo, along with the spar plates. The ladders and webs are ready to have their insides varnished. | ||||||
