| Now it is time to drill the actual bolt holes through the maple plugs. Again, I use the drilling fixture, clamped to the spar ladder. I use the 1/4" bit for the inboard cabane strut bolt holes, and the #12 bit for the outboard interplane strut and wingtip skid holes. | ||||||

| The drill fixture also ensures the spar bolt holes are directly centered in the maple plug. These are the inboard 1/4" holes for the cabane struts. | ||||||
