December 25, 2006 - Christmas Gifts

Somehow Santa knew I'm building an RV.  I guess he thought I was good this year because he brought me this neat SmartTool digital level.  Should come in very handy for the ailerons, flaps, elevator and rudder.
My brother-in-law Mark gave me this 90 degree tube bender.  It won't be long until I'm using it on the fuel lines.
I got a pack of five Sharpies with my original RV Tool Kit.  I used those up and bought another set.  I was out Christmas shopping and saw this 20 pack at BJs.  So I bought myself a Christmas present.  I've got these hidden because if my twelve year old daughter ever gets her hands on them, they are gone.
My other brother-in-law, Doug, bought me Rod Machado's Instrument Pilot's Survival Manual.  I've heard Rod speak a couple of times at Oshkosh and think he's great.  Although I don't have my IFR ticket, I'm trying to learn about it so that I can decide whether I want to make my RV IFR capable.
Santa gave me this PIC IFR book last year and I learned quite a bit from it.
