August 29, 2010 - Brunch at Arnold Palmer Airport
Lynnette and I were headed this beautiful Sunday morning to Latrobe, Pennsylvania for brunch with Mike & Karen R. and the Gaithersburg Flying Club. Here we are flying just northeast of Baltimore on an exceptionally clear day.
We joined up with Mike & Karen at 6500 feet over
Frederick and proceeded west. Here we are on the ramp at Arnold
Palmer airport. Anyone who has seen his Arnold Palmer's commercials
for Pennzoil will know that Latrobe is his hometown. They are very
proud of him. | ||||||
There were a couple of other RVs on the ramp.
The airport passenger terminal where DiNunzio's Restaurant
is located. Besides the outstanding brunch, Dinunzio's also has a
Frank Sinatra bar. | ||||||
What's this? Lynnette's admiring an RV-8!?
After the brunch, we flew back home in lose formation with Mike & Karen.
Clearly Lynnette is getting to like this RV traveling thing.
