March 23, 2004 - Rudder Stiffeners

I'm "back-riveting" the stiffeners onto the Rudder skin. Back-riveting is probably the most preferred form of riveting because one person can do it quickly, easily and consistently well. You can see the special back-rivet driver in the gun. You can't see the flat steel plate underneath the skin.

There are 150 to 200 holes per skin to rivet. I threw out my neck doing this and had to stop building for a couple of days off!
