April 10, 2004 - Flying the Citabria |

Went flying over the Eastern Shore, down by Salisbury and southern Delaware. Flew over this private airstrip. Wow! The aviator's dream house. After breakfast, stroll from the kitchen into the garage/hangar, taxi the plane 100 feet and takeoff! |
||||
Nearby, I flew over another private strip. The house isn't
as fancy as the previous one, but I'd still take it! You can always build
a bigger and better house.

Stopped at Laurel, a grass strip in southern Delaware. As I approached the field, all these parachutes were coming down, so I had to wait a couple of minutes for them to land before I went in. A very active parachuting operation. That big twin-turboprop in the background can probably take 20 of them up at a time. | ||||
