June 28, 2007 - Rivet Mapbox & Bulkheads |
Here I'm riveting the map box together. No big deal.
All done. I might shoot some Rustoleum in there to cover up the
shopheads.
While my riveting "proficiency" was high, I went ahead and riveted the gussets between the fuse bulkheads and longerons.
Piece of cake.
I also riveted the F-709 bulkhead to the fuse. Riveting doesn't get any easier than this.
I bought my SL-60 used and it didn't come with the Installation Manual. I had thought it would be easy to download a copy off the internet. That was true for the owners manual but not the installation manual. I was getting a little panicky because I absolutely, positively had to have the installation manual -- since the SL-60 didn't come with the wiring harness either, I would have to make it. But then I found a company on the web called Essco Aircraft which specializes in Aircraft Manuals. They had the SL-60 Install Manual. Of course, I had to pay for it ($20 plus shipping) but, believe me, I was more than happy to do that. Below is the manual -- exactly what I needed.
