July 11, 2007 - Panel

Now I'm making support brackets on the center subpanel for the SL-60 using leftover stock from the mapbox kit.
The SL-60 tray fits nicely.
I had sprayed the ribs and subpanels with MarHyde long ago.  But I kind of wanted this area to look a little nicer, even though it won't be that visible.  I decided to spray them with a Rustoleum top coat.  So I took everything apart and prepped them for painting.
Tomorrow night I'm going over to an EAA Chapter member's house and we're going to use his 3 1/8" hole punch on my panel for the airspeed and Pictorial Pilot holes.  Tonight I drilled the starting holes.  I measured very carefully before drilling 1/8" starter holes.
