May 20, 2008 - More Trimming Baffles |
I re-installed all the baffles.
Notice the top edges are horizontally aligned.
I put paper-clips on the top edges, sticking up 1/2".
I need not have bothered with the paper
clips. I couldn't even get the top cowl to sit down in the proper
position. The rear baffle corners needed trimming just to get the
bottom and top cowls to come together.
Needs trimming somewhere. I had to look through the oil filler door and the cowl inlets to try to find what was interferring with the top cowl.
I did some more trimming in the forward and aft corners, then put the paper-clips back on.
Getting closer. Top cowl almost
there.
Now when I remove the top cowl, you can see the paper clips are shoved all the way down.
The forward baffle area is better, but
it still needs a little
trimming.
Right side needs at least 3/8" trimming.
