May 1, 2008 - More Baffles |

On the left side, this little bracket supports the baffle floor. I finally figured out it was better to bolt the bracket in first -- then fit the floor.
After way too much trim and fit, trim
and fit, I finally got the baffle floor to fit on the left
side.

Looking from underneath.
I screwed on the left forward side
baffle. The side baffle attaches to the floor baffle via a little
right angle bracket. The side baffle had a pre-drilled hole.
Amazingly, it fit perfectly to the floor baffle angle bracket. The
cleco in image center is the
one.

A closer look. The magic of computer pre-drilled holes.
Back to the right floor. After such a hard time fitting the left floor, the right floor fit pretty well from the start. Once I got the oil line through the hole.
Close up of the prop gov oil line area. I'll have to trim some of the floor baffle where it is touching the spinner wheel with the altnerator belt.
The right floor baffle from the
bottom. Like the left, the right side has a bracket that secures it
to the engine.
|
||||||
LIke the left, the right side baffle fit perfectly with the baffle floor.
The left floor attached to the left
side
baffle.
