November 30, 2005 - Riveting Center Fuse
With bulkhead and ribs riveted together, it was time to rivet on the bottom skin.  We riveted the skin to the seat ribs with the assembly laying on the workbench as shown.  I clamped the bulkhead to the workbench since it helps to stabilize the structure as much as possible when riveting. 
Lynnette did a good job bucking.  We did four ribs one night, three ribs another. 
After one session, I cut the main longerons.  These things are like 15 feet long.  You don't want to make a mistake, because it would be expensive to have replacements shipped from Vans in Oregon.
