The instructions advise tapping the nutplates so that's what I did. My father-in-law lent me the tap set. Afterwards, I could turn the number 8 screw in by hand. Normally, nutplates require some pretty hefty force to get the screw in the first time or two.

Installing the nutplates on the center fuse seat ribs. They may not look like much, but it's amazing how much time is spent getting ribs ready for riveting.
