May 17, 2006 - Rivet Left Aft Seat Floor

I thought that before I continued with the flap channel, I had better rivet the aft seat floors down.  But first, I fit one of the removable side panels in as shown below.  It fit nicely.
The next step was to rivet the two nutplates where the center bearing block bolts down.  These nutplates are a little unusual in that they are AN-3 nutplates instead of #8 screws.  I think the AN-3 right hand nutplate is the only one of its kind used in the entire kit.
The last shot of the center section before it gets covered up with the aft seat floors.
I started with the left floor.  First I clecoed it down.
Then I started pop-riveting.
Close up.
Done with the left side, except for the nutplates along the inside edge.  I had to use one of my "side filed off" rivet-pullers to rivet the edge alongside the skin.
