April 16, 2006 - Fwd Tunnel Cover |

I had previously fashioned the seat tunnel cover brackets and drilled them to the aft seat floors. The next task was to fit, drill and bend the top cover. It seemed to me it would be very easy to make a mistake here so I wanted to fit everything together before drilling anything. I clecoed the aft seat floors down and screwed in the forward seat floors. This was the first time I had done this, so I took a moment to step back and check it out.
From father away. The fuselage is really starting to look like
something.

I trial-fit the cover, paying particular attention to where it needed
bending so the fron tpart would parallel the forward seat floor.

This gives you a better idea of what I'm trying to do. I am about ready to bend the top cover -- about an inch back from the forward edge.
And .... here I go. Bending the top cover. It came out very well, fitting to the forward seat floor nicely.
