January 11, 2006 - Dimpling & Countersinking |
||||||
I had forgotten to dimple the sides of the bottom skin so I did that. I also drilled some 7/16" holes for the fuel vents.
I'm still not done with the countersinking! I had to countersink
the two F-704 bulkhead side braces.
|
||||||
I deburred and dimpled the firewall. You may recall that the firewall is stainless steel. It deburred fine, I just had to use the deburring tool more forcefully than with aluminum.
Joe and I dimpled the non-edge holes of bottom skin with the C-frame and
it was done.

Lynnette and I dimpled the non-edge holes of the side skins with the C-frame. That looks suspiciously like an "RV grin".
Can you believe it? Still more countersinking. This time it's the bottom reinforcing angle of the firewall. After countersinking hundreds of holes, what's another 50 or so?
