Today I drilled the longerons on the left side. | ||||||
To keep the longeron even with the skin edge, I used the clamp with
wooden blocks so as to not scratch the angle or skin. You can see
how the F-704 side angles rest on top of the longeron.

I finally finished drilling the longerons. The next step was to drill the side skins and bottom skin joint. | ||||||
It may not look like fun but it beats drilling the longerons.

I still had more longeron drilling to do -- from the F-704 bulkhead to the forward end. I also had to trim the forward end of the longeron a little; so it was 3/4" aft of the skin. | ||||||
The left longeron is complete!
