Lynnette helped me rivet the gasolator reinforcing plate to the firewall. Easy job with two people.
Then I bolted the gasolator to the
firewall, hopefully for
good.
|
||||||
I temporarily screwed the AN fitting into the gasolator through the firewall. Yes, you guessed it. A fuel line will run from the aux fuel pump (lower left) to the gasolator AN fitting.
I decided to tackle something I had
been putting off for some time. Yes, it was time to drill the two
inch diameter hole for the heat valve. Drilling a two-inch hole
through stainless steel was going to be tough. I decided to go
with the two-inch hole bit. I used a very slow speed with my Dewalt
electric drill and used lots of Boelube.
|
||||||
I took my time an was done in about an hour.
The hole came out very nice.
Looking from the front. It wasn't too bad a job; just took awhile. Now I have to wait for my heat valve from EPM.EV to show up.
I trial-fitted all my switches and
LED indicators to make sure I hadn't missed anything before the panel
painting. Sure enough, I discovered I had forgot to
drill a hole for the 5A Alt Field circuit breaker. So I drilled a
hole under the trim indicator. The panel is now ready for
final
painting.
