May 1, 2010 - Essex Skypark Flyers Breakfast
We had our monthly Essex Skypark Flyers breakfast this morning. I got up early, did some formation practice with Dragon Flgiht, then thanks to the RV's speed, was able to scoot 95 nm from Carroll County (DMW) airport to Georgetown Airport (GED) in time for the breakfast. Bruce was orbiting overhead in the Cub when I arrived. We were the first ones and got parked right in front of the restaurant.

The rest of the pack. | ||||||
Breakfast always tastes a little better after you flown a
bit. | ||||||
Bruce and Whitey talking Cub
After breakfast we walked over to a nearby hangar and checked out Panchito, the B-25.
The Essex Skypark flyers check out the B-25 with a critical eye.
There was also a nicely polished twin-Beech in the hangar,
but we were told it hasn't flown in two years.
I can't imagine keeping something this big polished.
A BD-5 Project that will probably never fly.

These are just two of the many old MiGs sitting outside gathering dust.
A better look at the restaurant and FBO building.
I left Georgetown and headed east for the coast.
Then turned south. This week was Girls Weekend and all the girls were on the beach at Ocean City. I put on a little show for them before heading home.
