August 2, 2004 - Flying Home from AirVenture

After leaving Oshkosh, I stopped at Dodge County airport in Juneau, Wisconsin for fuel and a Bratworst Plate. Then I flew into Palwaukee Airport on the North side of Chicago. Palwaukee is a busy, towered airport and twice they had me pull out of a long final to let faster aircraft overtake me. I was my at Palwaukee by my good friend Frank Williams who took me to his house, and he had his wife Gail made me a great steak dinner!

In the morning I left and then flew by their house, pointed out by the arrow below.

Approaching the ChiTown from the North.
A good shot of the heart of the city.
