April 29, 2008 - Back to the Baffles |
With the cowl pretty much done, I turned my attention back to the baffles. I clecoed my aft bracket pieces to the engine and aft baffles.

And from the top. Then I match-drilled the brackets, using the aft baffles as a template. |
I clecoed the forward baffle floor
assembly together.
Since I have a constant speed prop, I have an oil tube running from the prop governor to the front of the engine. Per the drawings, I drilled a one inch diameter hole so the oil line could pass through.
I countersunk the aft side of the baffle floor reinforcers.
I riveted together the aft bracket. In this image, you get a good look at my "home-made" extender. Came out reasonably well, I think.
