May 5, 2007 - Aileron Alignment

I wanted to check the alignment of the ailerons and flaps so I clamped aluminum angles to the wing tips, aligned with the tooling holes.
Then I put the ailerons on.  I moved the trailing edge of the aileron so it was level with the angle.
The goal was to have both aileron trailing edges level with the angles when the sticks were perfectly vertical.  I had to adjust one of the aileron pushrods to achieve this.
Then I hung the flaps.
And made sure the flaps were aligned with the centered ailerons.  They look pretty good.  I don't know there would be much I could do about it if they weren't.
I stepped out the front door and was blinded by the bright Azalea's at the front of the house -- they are peak.
