May 1, 2007 - Flap Pushrods

Time to make the flap pushrods.  I drilled out the aluminum tubes with a #3 bit.  Then I tapped them.  I find tapping the small tubing without scarring the aluminum a challenge.  I have to hold the tube with the pliers so the tube doesn't move when I turn the tap.  I used tape and felt pads to prevent scarring the aluminum.
I still have to prime and paint the pushrods, but they're essentially done.  It took me a little while to find the rod-end bearings for these.
I finished trimming the inner edge of the fairings.  Now I have the proper spacing between the fairing and the fuse.
