November 27, 2004 - Aileron |
The aileron is similar to the elevator. First you have to fashion all the stiffeners. Then you cleco them to the skin and match drill them. That's what I'm doing here.
After match drilling, deburring, and devinyling, it's time to back rivet
the stiffeners to the skin. No big deal. We've been there a few
times before.
Here I'm match drilling the inboard spar reinforcer and aileron attach bracket to the spar.
Now I'm match drilling the outboard spar reinforcer and nose rib to the
spar.
The aileron spar and rib structure all clecoed together.
