AirVenture 2017 - RVs

Paul Dye's awesome RV-3.

Early in the week, I walked the entire homebuilt parking and camping areas in an effort to see every RV.  The homebuilt area was mostly RVs.  There were hundreds and hundreds.  Unbelievable.

I'd love to see this plane in flight up close.

Another RV-3 with a neat paintjob.

The paintjob on this RV-10 was simply unbelievable.

The right wing featured the U.S. Navy so I had to show a picture of that.

Another airbrush painted RV was next to it.  I have seen this one before -- equally awesome.

Even the inside of the engine panel door is painted.  Get out of here!

I liked the U.S. Marine Corps paint job on this RV-8.  U-Rah!

I was on the lookout for polished RVs.  This was the best one I saw; besides mine, of course.

RVs were all over AirVenture.  Here is one outside the Garmin booth.

The company I insure my RV with -- Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. -- put on a happy hour Monday after the airshow.  The place was packed with mostly RVers.
Bruce and I ran into Mike B., a man who knows a thing or two about beer (and RVs).

MIke B. got a photo with the great man himself  -- Richard VanGrunsven -- founder and President of Vans Aircraft Company, the man who
made it all possible.

As you can see, the place was packed.
