March 8, 2005 - Right Wing

This was probably the most product day in my RV building history.  I took the day off from work.  My Dad and I had intended to go on a long cross-country in the Citabria but it was cold -- mid-twenties -- and windy, so we cancelled the flight and worked on the RV all day.  Between the two of us, we worked over ten hours.  Most of the work involved prepping the wing.
Here I am countersinking the wing spar flange.  Lots and lots of holes.
After countersinking, I used the Alodyne pen on each hole.  Worked great.
My Dad deburred all the rib flanges.  Inside and out, both sides.
Then he dimpled them.  I'm trying to talk him into moving to Maryland from California so he can help me all the time!
Next, we dimpled with the C-frame six of the eight wing skins.  (The other two were already done and riveted on the left wing)
