October 18, 2012 - EAA Chapter Meeting at the House
This month, my EAA Chapter had its monthly meeting at my house so they could see the Triplane project. I cleaned up the shop. Let me tell you, it was as clean as its been in a long time. Here the Chapter members are checking out my Plans. In the background is the "welding room".
Showing the members the Rib jig.
Showing off some finished ribs.
I have finished all the
regular ribs and most of the doubler ribs. Only the wingtip ribs are
left. They are different than the regular ribs as you might
imagine. | ||||||
A better look at the rib jig.
Explaining how the Capstrip bending jig works.
I think the members liked the Triplane
project because it is old school: plans, wood and steel tube.
Ribs. Look how clean and uncluttered that workbench is!
And more ribs. | ||||||
Showing off the spar table. Won't be long before I start building the rectangular box spars.
