February 7, 2015 - Maintenance Check Flight |

It was a cold, dreary winter day but I felt like getting out of the house, so I headed to the airport. I had received my wing-leveler autopilot back from repair, and wanted to reinstall and test it. Not too much activity at Essex Skypark today. Actually, weather conditions weren't too bad: temps in the low 40s, good visibility and light winds. As you can see, though, everything is just brown, grey and dark. |

I installed the autopilot, pre-heated the engine, then pulled the plane out. Let's go flying!

Looking down at North Point State Park, south of the Back River from Essex Skypark. The British came through on the left back in 1814, heading for Baltimore. They never made it. | ||||||
Looking back at North Point with the Patapsco River the Key Bridge in the distance.

The little community just south of Essex Skypark. They like the Skypark, which is a primary reason its still around. The autopilot checked out 4.0. I only flew for 15 minutes, zooming around, yanking and banking, but that was enough to get my fix. Looking forward to spring! |
