August 21, 2007 - Panel

I finished drilling the last remaining holes in the panel -- the LED indicators, mini-switches, and dimmer.  Next step was to rivet the map box and Dynon mounting bracket to the panel.  I back-riveted them because I wanted the panel face to be blemish free.

The flanges were narrow on both the mapbox and Dynon mounting bracket, so I had to back-rivet at a slight angle.  The shop heads weren't perfect but that's no big deal.  The panel face looked great which was the important thing.

And the Dynon mounting bracket.

The panel is pretty much done -- ready for priming and painting.
