February 6, 2009 - Big Snow

It really hasn't snowed at all the last few years.  This year we've already had two significant snowfalls.  The runway at Essex is still covered with the second snowfall.  But today it really came down hard all day and into the night.  We ended up with over two feet of snow.  It was the most snowfall for a single day in this area's recorded history.  Global Warming it ain't.

Looking out the front door.

 Looking out the back porch.

Looking out hte basement window.

Bella the cat wondering what to make of the snow.

Well, I'm not going anywhere until I shovel the driveway.

That's not my front yard, it's my Driveway!   : (

My son's car is completely buried in the snow.

This represents about 30 minutes of work.

Back yard.

Deck.  That bullet shaped snowmound is the Weber Kettle barbeque.

Yes, there is a car under there.

Clearing the driveway, I had to put the snow somewhere, so it went in this big pile.

I finally shovelled through to the street.  Here's looking at the house.

More back yard.

No flying for awhile.

We actually got another 19 inches later in the week which put us over the top for the most ever snowfall in a season -- in recorded history!  Al Gore could not be reached for comment.
